Terry recently met with Sean the recent World Champion Snooker champion whilst recording in our northern studio in Sheffield and discussed Snooker , Music and Success.
Terry congratulated Sean and asked him for any keys to success he could share. Sean gave us three.
1. Visualisation- Sean was not at all nervous in the final as he had played this final many, many times. As he practised as a boy he always envisioned himself playing and winning the World Championship.
|
|
This leads to his second key;
2. Preparation- Sean had been through all the work behind the scenes than leads to success.
3. Self Belief- He has always believed in himself and his gifting. He now translates this to Faith, after his recent Christian conversion and commitment.
Think Media Music congratulates Sean on his recent World shaking victory and Sean who has a wide musical taste celebrates with TMM with its World wide musical contribution to It's best selling show Monkey Business on ITV and Animal Planet next month. |

We are delighted to announce that many of our tracks have been placed on 'Monkey Business'. This show is going out all over the world, on many leading channels. It has been made by a local to us, ITV Meridian. A recent article states:
Up until now Monkey Business has been seen in the Meridian region in the UK, where it has been a big success for the past six years, and ITV1 is about to screen a networked compilation series featuring the individual stories of six rescued apes. A further series of Monkey Business is now in pre-production.
Leading distributor Granada International has scored worldwide success with acclaimed wildlife series Monkey Business, with Managing Director Nadine Nohr today announcing a major new sale to Discovery Networks International for its Animal Planet channel.
The sale puts the UK regional series, in the top five of Granada International's best selling programmes.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting and interviewing one of my heroines- a visionary entrepreneur with a social conscience Dame Anita Roddick.
I am cheering the Greenbelt festival from the top of every bloody mountain....
|
|
|
…….said Dame Anita Roddick, campaigner and founder of the Body Shop, who appeared at the Greenbelt Festival. "I had no idea how big Greenbelt was, how organised it was; how free it was; how joyful it was,"
I interviewed her on behalf of Hope FM local Bournemouth community radio station, YMCA and AND magazine. I commended her work against social injustice and asked for any advice to up and coming philanthropic entrepreneurs. Anita advised, to be open and transparent with workers and customers and to work towards causes that combat loneliness. Anita was then asked about her principle of not just boycotting but taking positive action, and would she be lighting a candle and not just cursing the darkness in media. She commented, "We should see some of the social injustice issues in soaps and TV".
We need to make kindness and compassion sexy! I then agreed and offered to co-work on some programmes of this nature. Is Anita becoming a modern day Lord Shaftsbury? Watch his space. In an earlier address Anita was exhorting music and how it can be used as a tool for freedom. This resonated with me and the whole theme of greenbelt this year-Freedom Bound! Thanks Anita for your drive, honesty and passion. Together we all can make a difference.

Four Southampton men have pooled their expertise in an exciting multi-media project.
Terry Eckersley, Director of ThinkTV, Kevin Wood and Benjy Loren, co-directors of Up In The Attic recording studios, established composer and freelance musician Robbie Richardson, and Andy Sutton, Director of Aldebaran Media have joined forces to work on an international music project. Working from their headquarters in the fashionable waterfront area of Southampton, the pioneering media entrepreneurs are enthusiastic about their first commission; they are currently working on a contemporary soundtrack for an international TV documentary with the brief to make it themed and user friendly to a younger audience. Terry, a guitarist, composer and singer-songwriter, and fellow composer Robbie a well-established keyboard, flute and saxophone player are working on the music, Kevin and Benjy are handling the recording, and Andy is editing the film. Andy has been making videos since he was eight and recently formed his own company after six years with Meridian TV during which time he edited the very successful "City Hospital" series.
Terry Eckersley, speaking on behalf of the four says: "This is just the start of great things - I'm really excited by the extraordinary depth of musical and media talent in Southampton at the moment. We are on the crest of a wave which is taking us into all areas of media, film and music - in fact anywhere where original music is required, whether for individual artists or bands, film and TV soundtracks, advertising campaigns, promotional videos and live performance videos. In fact anywhere where music is required to provide atmosphere or complement action, and that includes the growing market of websites on the Internet. I first came into contact with Kevin and Benjy when I started recording my first album with them - they have worked with people like Robert Plant, Renaissance, Kylie Minogue and Snow Patrol, so there was no need to look any further. Robbie, an inspired musician, has also worked with some of the best in the business, and Andy knows all there is to know about film editing having worked for Meridian for over 6 years. Like all of us Andy is a keen music fan, so everything has just gelled in a fantastic way. Andy has recently written, directed, shot and edited an educational video for the NHS about drug abuse and relapse for which we supplied some of the original music."
Terry continued: " Running alongside our musical innovation is the work of our other company ThinkTV which has been set up to develop treatments for TV series and shows. Two ideas are already under consideration by major television companies, and we are moving into new offices alongside Kevin and Benjy as the two projects overlap to a large degree. ThinkTV is a company formed by myself and Barry Upton; also on board is associate Chris Barfoot, a film director who has worked with Shane Ritchie, Prunella Scales and many other top artists, and is currently in the advanced stages of two full length feature film projects and a 90 minute pilot for a TV series involving a major star."
But back to the music, which is the prime force, it seems, in everything Terry does: "Southampton is already Music City UK as far as I'm concerned with artists like Mark Hill, Craig David, The Delays, Stevie Keith and Barry Upton working locally and new talent coming through all the time. We want to be a part of it, and make Southampton "International Music City!"
May 2004
What was it like in The Cavern, Liverpool when the Beatles first played there? What was it like in the explosion of the Madchester scene when the Happy Mondays first came on to the scene? ....I don't know I wasn't there! But I do know what it was like at the Talking Heads on Wednesday May 26. |
|
| It was equally an historic moment. You had to be there! Southampton was grooving to some of the silkiest and funkiest voices in the UK. Talking Heads music venue hosted a night of live soul, funk and good-vibes featuring three of the freshest up and coming singers in the country, Lifford David, Katie Holmes and Laura Vane plus guests.
The evening was climaxed by an exceptional rendition of “Sunshine” performed by surprise visitor Gareth Gates! and the songwriters Stevie Keith and Dan Mar-Molinero. Gareth and Stevie lifted each other vocally and the crowd loved it!!! The whole stop drop roll posse are a cool bunch, they love music and they love life......living the dream!!!
